How This Book Came To be...
Quite a few years ago my father, Neville Knight, decided to research the Knight family and compile a record of as many of his ancestors as he could find.
He has put a lot of work into it, spending holidays trawling through Parish and Libray records and registers in towns where he knew ancestors had settled.
Then came the phone call..."Linda, could you maybe put it down 'on paper' for me?".
Then.."Maybe you could jazz it up a little using that Paint programme you like so much on the pc"
Then.." It would be good if it was done BIG so that it could be printed out without losing any detail"
FINALLY, after months at my PC and MANY MANY amendments/corrections/tweaks by Dad it was ready to go to print..LOL!
Dad had some printed up for close relatives as a keepsake and for future generations to add to, should they so wish.
Here are some of the pages from that booklet, online for easy viewing.
Obviously they are showing up slightly smaller here than they do in print but, over all, one can see enough to read, I hope!
I have a Powerpoint Show if anyone would prefer to view them that way. Just email me for the link.
I hope you enjoy your little foray into the history of one side of my family.
